Beverly Emmons Loughmiller was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, January 13, 2023, after a brief but aggressive illness. She is now reunited with her mother, grandparents, and husband.
Beverly was born on December 8, 1959, in Tyler where she lived and worked her entire life. She is survived by her father, Don Emmons of Tyler and her three children, Justin Robertson and wife Allyson and their children, Nicholas, Cora, and Casey. Her son Clayton Robertson and his children, Robbie, and Logan. Her daughter, Jesse Robertson and her children, Carter, Chloe, and Kirstin, all of Tyler. Her brother Steve Emmons and wife Donna of Tyler and their two children, Chad Emmons and wife Karen and their son Axel of Cornelius, NC and their daughter, Chelsye Newland and husband Maxwell and their daughters, Audrey-Daye, and Lillian of Tyler.
Beverly is preceded in death by her mother Lynn Emmons, grandparents Marshel and Elsie Emmons, and Joyce and Charles Beall, and spouse Roy McCoy, whom she loved so very much.
Beverly was also a friend to many, and many were a friend to her. Besides the love of her children and precious grandchildren, who she referred to as “Littles”, her devotion and love for her friends was truly a gift to receive.
Beverly was a child of God brought to the Lord through Holy Baptism while attending First Baptist Church of Tyler when she was 13 years old. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in 1978 and attended Tyler Junior College.
The majority of her career was spent working in the clinical laboratory field. Most recently she was employed by Doctors Lab, in Tyler where she was blessed to work with her son, Justin, for almost 18 of those years.
Beverly had a charisma larger than life, magnetic personality, and a contagious laugh that was second to none. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and had a special love for the 18th century U.S. history. Her love of her family was something to behold, and she readily admitted that her life revolved around her “Littles”. As Nanny to her grandchildren that range in age from 1 to 18 years, her goal was to make life special for them. Be it Nanny Camp, making Holiday’s magical, supporting, and cheering them on in their various activities or simply spending alone time with them, this truly gave her life meaning. She loved and adored them with all a heart could give.
Please join us for a memorial and celebration of the life of Beverly on Tuesday, January 17th at 11:00 am at Lloyd James Funeral home with Brother Park Robertson officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00am prior to the service to visit and share memories of the life of Beverly. Following the service, a private burial will take place at Williams Cemetery.
