Art is preceded in death by his daddy Arthur Earl Hickman Jr; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Ruthie Hickman; maternal grandparents, Joe and Edith Payne; twin brother Cecil Earl Hickman.
Art was born in Tyler, Texas. He is a graduate of John Tyler High School, he attended TJC. He moved to Chandler in 2001. He loved living at the lake.
Art was a member of West Lake Baptist Church in Chandler, Texas. Due to his illness, he had to quit going to church but that never changed his love for the Lord.
He is survived by his mother, Jo An Hickman of Chandler; daughters, Amanda Hickman of Tyler; sisters, Debra Dykes of Tyler, Vickie Fonfara & husband Paul of Chandler, Carrie Rhea LoBianco & husband Vincent of Tyler, Barbara McBride & husband William of Malakoff; brother Lee Foreman & wife Sylvia of Conroe. Art is Paw Paw to Brantley, Odin and Astrid.
Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive him.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 29 at the chapel of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 30 at the funeral home at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Flint Cemetery in Flint, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Fonfara, Steven Hopson, Robby Weas, Jimmy Smith, Brent Garcia and Charles Main. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Tew, William McBride and Elliot Brandt.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice, crisis center and meals on wheels for their thoughtful kindness.
