William "Thomas" Short

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Lee Arthur Short and mother, Thelma Lucille Short; sister, Mildred Short Davis.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Virginia L. Short. They celebrated 50 wonderful years together on November 16, 2023. He is also survived by his step-son, Michael Bearden Sr. "Joe"; grandson, Michael Bearden Jr. (Katy) who was like a son to him; his dog, Kristy.

He worked for Alabama Power for 30 years and his last 6 years as a supervisor. He loved his job and his friends. Everyone loved Thomas Short and he will be greatly missed.

Honorary pallbearers are the men of Northwood Church of Christ of Northport, AL.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. A burial will occur Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 2:45 PM at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
