Sheila Carr Smith, age 57, of Cottondale, died Jan. 21, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Harvest Church of God with Bishop Danny Murray and Rev. Ray Herron officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, John S. Carr.
Survivors include her daughters, Angela Adams (Danny) and April Barnett (William); her brother, Jerry Carr (Michelle); her mother, Betty S. Carr; her grandchildren, Brett Toothman, Emily Barnett, and Gabriel Barnett; and her nephew and niece, Grayson Roper and Kylie Carr.
Pallbearers will be Matt Beaty, Rickey Carr, Chris Graham, Jerry Johnson, Glen Armstrong, Danny Adams, Jared Walton, and Phillip Roper.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Megan Bullard, Capstone Medical Center, DCH Regional Medical Center, and Hospice of West Alabama.
