Peggy Jean St. John

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating and Memory Chapel directing.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mrs. St. John was preceded in death by her parents, Ford and Leaunia Stephens; and sister, Maxine Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Cliff St. John; son, Perry St. John (Tammy) of Cullman, Ala.; and daughters, Donna St. John of Coker, Ala., and Diane Bullard (Doug) of Fayette, Ala.; grandchildren, Lydia Burroughs (Lee), Zack Sutton (Amy), Megan Bush (Nathan), Catherine Kirkland (Ron), Alexandria Patterson (Dillon), Elizabeth Thomas (Tyler), Bethann Bullard, Willa Sears, and Kaleb Bates; great-grandchildren, J.R. Reach, Andi Reach, and Gage Kirkland; sisters, Lucy Gates and Shirley Griffin; and brother Johnny Stephens (Diane).

Peggy met and married Gunter Clifton St. John in 1958, and they were married for 61 years. She served the Lord as Sunday School Director and teacher at Coker Baptist Church for many years. She graduated from Druid City Hospital School of Nursing in the late 1950s and worked at Druid City Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of the Coker Garden Club and loved planting flowers.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Stephens, Tommy Jones, Perry St. John, Timmy Gates, Stephen Griffin, Lee Burroughs, Ron Kirkland, and Tyler Thomas.
