Dea. OC accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Pruitt Springs Baptist Church in Havana, Alabama. He served as a Deacon, Superintendent of Sunday School, Usher Board and Finance Committee. He was a faithful member until his death.
He received his education from Hale County Training School in Greensboro, Alabama. He worked and retired from Romain Construction for 52 years. His hobbies were raising cattle, farming, watching the news, football and enjoying his family.
He was united in marriage to Lula Atkins Brown for 55 years and to this union, one daughter was born, Anita Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories five daughters: Anita Brown, Wanda Williams, Barbara Whitt, Linda Harris, and Patricia Richardson; three sons: Warren Williams, Ray Spencer, and Michael Whitt; and other children he loved; one sister, Daisy Lewis; three brothers: George (Jimmie Ree) Brown, John (Willie) Brown, and Eugene (Essie) Brown; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends; special granddaughter Sharda, special great-granddaughter A’zariyah, and special grandson Kaiden.
