NORTHPORT – James Donald Tilley, age 82, passed away August 10, 2022 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Tilley was preceded in death by his parents, James Herbert and Hattie Lorene Holliman Tilley; and brother, Herbert Douglas Tilley.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Clements Tilley of Northport, Ala.; daughter, Angela Tilley Burke of Pell City, Ala.; sister, Virginia Adcox (Jesse); brother, Hershel A. Tilley (Bernice); grandchildren, William Hunter Burke (Britney) and Mary Beth Burke; and great-grandchildren, Kullen Kase Burke, River Jameson Burke, and Laney Lee Burke (arriving in September of 2022).
Pallbearers will be Wesley Johnson, Keith Adcox, Todd Tilley, Trent Tilley, Mark Tilley, and Luke Tilley.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of James Donald Tilley to Hospice of West Alabama or Alberta Baptist Church.
