Bobby Wilburn

Bobby Jerome Wilburn, 66, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7th, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Tricia, son, Jackson, mother, Carolyn, father, Bob, sister, Deborah, and brother Larry. A memorial will be held Tuesday, April 11th, 2023, 11:00 am, at First United Methodist Church Tuscaloosa—800 Greensboro Avenue, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35401. Following the service, there will be a reception for friends and family at the church.

Bobby Wilburn was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 31st, 1956 to Bob Ray Wilburn and Carolyn Gregory Tubbs. Bobby was the Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing at Peco Foods, and contributed to the industry and community as a member of the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council’s board of directors, National Chicken Council’s Marketing Committee, and served on the board of the West Alabama Food Bank.

On April 22nd, 1981, he was married to the love of his life, Tricia, with whom he fathered three beautiful sons, Jonathan, David, and Jackson. Bobby was a devoted husband, father, and friend to all. Bobby was a patron of the arts, enjoyed gardening, boating, and was an accomplished piano player. He often shared his talent at piano with others and was known to captivate listeners with his skill. Bobby’s vibrant personality and legendary story-telling abilities brought joy to the lives of all who knew him. His pure heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama and First United Methodist Church Tuscaloosa.

A celebration of life for Bobby will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 800 Greensboro Avenue, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401.
