TUSCALOOSA – Billy Sutton, age 67, passed away July 10, 2022 at his residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2022 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial following in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Sutton was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Sue and Leon Sutton; sister, Joyce; and brother, Jacky.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rebecca Sutton; daughters, Tara Blackmon (Allen), Hillary Sutton, and Sarah Smelley; son, Jeremy Sutton (Amber); sister, Sharon Sutton; brothers Gene Sutton (Bonnie) and Benny Sutton (Marie); six grandsons and one granddaughter.
Billy graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Education, and later retired from BF Goodrich after 40 years of loyal service.
Honorary pallbearers are employees of BF Goodrich and Little Sandy Baptist Church family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Little Sandy Baptist Church, American Diabetes Association, or Dementia Society of America for Frontotemporal dementia research.
