Betty Snyder passed away on November 11, 2022, at Plantation Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022 in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, November 20, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, as well as noon to 1 p.m. on Monday prior to services.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Frank Gerald Snyder, parents Freemon and Wilma Jean Anglin, in-laws Raiford and Anna Bell Snyder, and brothers Gary and Robert Anglin.
She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Alan and Laurie Snyder, and granddaughter Cameron Snyder.
Betty was born in Russellville AL on December 9, 1946. She grew up in Adrian MI before returning to Alabama for college, attending the University of Montevallo. She graduated in May 1968 with a degree in social work.
She began what she thought would be a temporary career with the Social Security Administration in June 1968 where she worked until April 2016 with 48 years of service to the American public.
She attended the University Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa AL from August 1990 until November 2017 when she moved to Morning Pointe Assisted Living after being diagnosed with Dementia. She lived at Morning Pointe until October 2022 when she moved to Plantation Manor Nursing Home in McCalla.
