Margarida B. Miranda

Mrs. Margarida B. Miranda, age 81 “Entered into Rest” on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Avalon Care Center in Modesto, CA. Mrs. Miranda was born in Luz, Graciosa, Azores and has lived in Turlock, CA for 47 years. She was a Line Worker for the former Banquet Foods in Turlock for 20 years. Her favorite pastime was gardening, crocheting & spending time with family. Mrs. Miranda was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock, Our Lady of Fatima Society of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Portuguese Fraternal Society of America, Fraternal Co. No. 26 of Stevinson/Turlock/Hilmar. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jose Miranda of Turlock; Daughter – Mary Jo Meirinho of Modesto; Four Grandsons – Manuel Meirinho, Christopher Meirinho, Frank Meirinho and Joseph Meirinho all of Modesto. Preceded in Death by: her Son – Joe Gabriel Miranda on June 20, 2010 and Son-in-Law, Manuel Meirinho in 2006.

Services: Visitation – Wednesday, June 3, 2015 form 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA. Combined Rosary & Funeral Mass – Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock with the Rosary at 11:00 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment – following the Funeral Mass at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
