Manuel Armelim Cardoso

Manuel Armelim Cardoso, age 88, of Delhi, California passed away at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock on Monday, June 19, 2023. Manuel was born in Loural, São Jorge, Açores to Maria Madalena Sousa Cardoso and Manuel Cardoso.

Manuel is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maria Carolina Cardoso, his sons Armelim Cardoso (Odelta), Tiberio Cardoso (Maria), Manuel Cardoso (Tina), Elio George Cardoso all of Delhi, Frank Cardoso (Michelle) of Turlock and Albert Cardoso also of Delhi. His sisters Beatriz Matos of Modesto and Maura Lino of Turlock also survive Manuel. He leaves behind his grandchildren Roger Cardoso, Sara Beutner, Zachary Cardoso, Lisa Cardoso, Tiberio Cardoso, Carolina Leguria, Forrest Cardoso, Grace Cardoso, Elio Cardoso, Melissa Borges, Krystal Cardoso, Jillian Cardoso, Sara Cardoso and Megan Jantz along with 13 great grandchildren to honor his memory.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents Manuel Cardoso and Maria Madalena Sousa Cardoso, his siblings Mario Cardoso, Manuel Ernesto Cardoso, José Vasco Cardoso, Maria Lidia Borges and Manuel Macedonio Cardoso and his grandson Matthew Johnson.

Manuel was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar.

A Visitation for Manuel will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20263 American Avenue, Hilmar, CA 95324.

Manuel will be laid to rest Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at N. Hilmar Cemetery, 8710 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, CA 95324.

Serving as pallbearers are Roger Cardoso, Matthew Beutner, Zachery Cardoso, Tiberio Cardoso, Forrest Cardoso and Elio Cardoso.
