Madalena Sao Pedro Lemos

Madalena Sao Pedro Lemos, age 90, of Modesto, California passed away in El Cajon, California, on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Madalena was born June 29, 1931 in Santo Antonio, São Jorge, Açores to Maria Pacheco and José Soares.

Madalena is survived by her daughters Jessie and Betty Lemos-Arellano; and her son-in-law David Arellano; Madalena also leaves behind her granddaughter Charlyne Ribeiro and three step-grandsons Joey, David and Chris Arellano to honor her memory along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Madalena was preceded in death by her husband Joe C. Lemos; her father José Soares and her mother Maria Pacheco; her sisters Barbara Correia, Isabel Brasil, Maria Soares, Amelia Soares and Olivia Faria; her brothers Manuel Soares, José Soares and Antonio Soares.

Madalena was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Modesto and she was a Licensed Cosmetologist.

A visitation for Madalena will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A Recitation of the Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 709 J Street, Modesto, CA 95354.

A committal service will follow the Funeral Mass Thursday, May 5, 2022, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, 1141 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA 95350.

Serving as pallbearers are Joe Jordao, Duarte Soares, Ruben Faria, Michael Soares, Nelson Soares and Miguel Avila.
