Jose Goncalves De Sousa

Mr. de Sousa was born in Santa Barbara, Terceira, Azores and moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1945 and lived there for 30 years before moving to California. Before retiring he worked for Foster Farms as a Line Worker for 15 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock, CA and enjoyed Gardening, trips to the Casinos and spending with family and friends.

Jose G. de Sousa is survived by: Two Sons - Claudio de Sousa and his Wife Jenny of Turlock, CA, Frank de Sousa and his Wife Cindy of Denair, CA. One Daughter - Florinda Freitas and her Husband Eddie of Turlock, CA. One Brother - Joao Fagundes of Merced, CA. Three Sisters - Odilia Teixeira of Oakdale, CA, Alexandrina Lima of Los Banos, CA and Mary de Lourdes of San Pedro, CA. Ten Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA and Rosary to be at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, January 31 ,2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock, CA.

Internment will be private at Turlock Memorial Park.
