John F. Silveira

John F. Silveira, age 83, of Turlock, California passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021. John was born February 13, 1938 in Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge, Azores to Mariana Emilia dos Almos and Jose Faustino da Silveira.

John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maria E. Silveira; son John E. Silveira (Lucy) of Hilmar; and daughter Lucy F. DeSousa (Joe) Turlock; brother Armelim F. Silveira, sisters Lucilia Anacleto of Petaluma, Regina Oliveira of Sao Jorge, Carmela Belo Sao Jorge, Leonlina Silveira of Sao Jorge and sister Laurencia Silveira of Canada.

He was preceded in death by father Jose Faustino da Silveira and mother Mariana Emilia dos Almos; brother Jose Eleuterio Silveira.

John also leaves behind six grandchildren, Alison DeSousa, Kayla DeSousa, Colton Silveira, Cordero Silveira, Aleece Silveira and Lilly Silveira.

The visitation will be held from 11:00am to 3:00PM on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California.

A recitation of Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Avenue, Turlock, CA followed by a committal service at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA.

Serving as pallbearers are John E. Silveira, Joe DeSousa, Colton Silveira, Cordero Silveira, Joe Silveira and Danny Silveira.
