John Silva Freitas, age 89, of Turlock, California passed away at Del Monte Assisted Living in Stockton, California, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. John was born December 10, 1932 in Riadade do Pico, Açores to Deolinda Freitas and Tobias Silva.
John is survived by his daughter Linda Freitas-Yoppini (Helder) of Salida; his son John Freitas (Allison) of Utah; his son George Freitas of Turlock; and his son Jim Freitas (Rosemary) of Modesto; John also leaves behind his grandchildren; Jonathon Yoppini (Ronna), Jeremey Yoppini (Amber), Zachary Freitas, Tyler Freitas, Aimee White Freitas (Richard), Michael Freitas, Zayn Freitas, Sophia Freitas, Sebastion Freitas, Noah Freitas, along with his great grandchildren; Learyc Yoppini, Jack Yoppini, Benjamin Yoppini, Ethan Yoppini, and Adeline Trujillo to honor his memory.
John was preceded in death by his spouse Manuela Freitas; his father Tobias Silva, his mother Deolinda Freitas and his brother Manuel Silva.
A visitation for John will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.
A Rosary Service followed by a Funeral Mass, will occur Friday, March 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Assumptions Catholic Church, 2602 South Walnut Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
A committal service will occur Friday, March 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
Serving as pallbearers are Jonathon Yoppini, Jeremey Yoppini, Tyler Freitas, Zachary Freitas, Michael Freitas and Richard Aviles.
