Joe D. Bettencourt, age 66, of Turlock, California passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. He was born March 27, 1954 in Santo Antão Topo, São Jorge, Açores to Antonio V. Bettencourt and Maria C. Brasil.
Joe is survived by: his spouse, Maria Conceição Bettencourt of forty-three years; son Heldar J. Bettencourt (Dorisa) of Turlock; daughter Sonia M. Swanson (Matthew) of Sacramento; brother Antonio Bettencourt of Merced; brother Luis Bettencourt of Topo, São Jorge, Açores; brother Angelo Bettencourt of Modesto; brother Norberto Bettencourt of Turlock; sister Maria Carminha Brasil of Santo Antão, Topo, Açores; sister Judito Luna of Sonville; sister Angela Sousa of Newman; sister Cecilia Bettencourt of Cupertino; and sister Norberta Bettencourt of São Jorge, Açores.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clemente Bettencourt.
A Visitation for Joe will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California.

A Recitation of the Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will occur at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Avenue, Turlock, California. A committal service will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
