Eduardo Cavalinha Da Silva Garcia

Mr. Eduardo da Silva Garcia age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Kaiser Medical Center of Modesto. Eduardo was also well known by his nick name "Cavalinha" by his family and friends. He was born in Angustias, Faial, Azores. He was a construction worker on commercial and residential buildings for 25 years. He lived in San Jose for 29 years and then moved to Newman. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife Maria C. Garcia of Newman; they were married for 50 years. 2 Sons- Frank Garcia of Turlock, Eddie Garcia and his wife Natalia of Newman. 2 Daughters-Estela Faria and her husband Antonio Faria of Los Banos, Sonia Fortuna and her husband Lodgerio Fortuna of Newman. 17 Grandchildren, 1-Great-Grandchild and 4 Sisters- Madalena Silva Mota of Terceira Azores, Genoveva Melo Faial Azores, Helia Melo, Faial, Azores, and Eduarda Garcia of Canada.

Service: Vistation-11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA.

Vigil & Rosary: 7:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles, 370 Linden Ave., Gustine.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles, 370 Linden Ave., Gustine, California.

Mr. Garcia will be laid to rest at the Hills Ferry Cemetery District, 1334 W. Stuhr Rd.Newman, California.
