Antonio Bettencourt Machado, aged 70, passed away peacefully on September 13 after living in Turlock for 13 years. Antonio was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock, and had previously been a resident of San Jose for 30+ years.
Born in Ribeira da Areia, Sao Jorge, Acores, Antonio leaves behind his daughter Sandy Miranda and son-in-law Paul Miranda of Turlock. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Andrew and Ashley Miranda of Turlock, as well as his sisters: Idalina Medeiros of Tracy, Natalia Medeiros of Modesto and Filomena Bettencourt of Santa Clara, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Antonio was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Machado, in 2013, his parents, Jose & Amelia Neves, and his brothers: Arlindo, Manuel, and Jose Machado.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 2-7 P.M. at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock. Rosary will also be on Friday at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias in the chapel at 7 P.M.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 24, 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock; burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
