Deborah Maude Armstrong was born in Gary, Indiana on August 10, 1941 to Robert C. and Lucille V. Coleman. She had an older brother, Trent Coleman. When she was 2 years old her family moved to Tacoma, Washington and at the age of 7 she was one of the youngest to ever climb to Camp Muir on Mount Rainier.
Debby was the manager of the Pierce County Blood Bank from 1972 through 1982 and followed that with a successful real estate career. She was “flipping” houses before it became popular.
She loved games and spent hours playing cards with friends and family. She also loved a party, all things “bling,” hats, shoes, jewelry, purses and convertibles! She had many, many longtime friends. When you were Debby’s friend, you were a friend for life.
Debby passed away on December 5, 2023 at the age of 82 in Olympia, Washington. She is survived by her sons Robert Guernsey and Tim Wilson; daughter-in-law Raela Guernsey and grandson Robbie Guernsey.
After retiring, Debby married Gene Roy Little, who passed in February, 2018 and was embraced by his surviving children who kept her involved with family.
All the family would like to express their gratitude to Debby’s caregivers and especially Greenview Adult Family Home for the excellent care and compassion they showed to our Debby at the end of her life.
A celebration of Debby’s life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the community clubhouse of Seashore Village, 4805 Cushman Road NE, Olympia, Washington.
