Yolanda Munguia Perez

Yolanda Munguia Perez, age 76, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. Yolanda was born in Tucson to Raynaldo Munguia and Alicia Munguia, both of whom preceded her in passing. Yolanda was one of seven siblings, and is further preceded in passing by her brother Ray Munguia (Martha); they are all survived by Yolanda's sister Grace Corrales (Armando), and her brothers Joe Munguia (Grace), Albert Munguia (Marty), Larry Munguia (Josie), and Mike Munguia (Sandra).

Yolanda was herself the matriarch of a large family, which she built together with her beloved husband of 52 years at his passing,Manuel R. Perez; a romantic at heart, Yolanda considered herself married still, and on her passing would have told anyone she was married for 54 years. Their children are Yvonne Perez, Manuel Perez (Evelina), Margarita Perez, Nancy Molina (Ernest), and all survive their parents.

Yolanda's family further extends into her grandchildren Jessika Perez, Katrina Barraza (Jesus), Manuel Perez (Estefani), Martin Anaya Jr., Sonya Anaya, Robert Perez, and Maya Perez; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Naturally, Yolanda loved nothing more than her family, and the family she considered her own. She loved to spend time with them at cookouts, and dancing and drinking her Dos XX. She liked to cook, making food to nurture her family, and favored the color red; she could seldom be found without a splash of color in her life, the same brightness she brought to those around her.

Yolanda's memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who knew her. She will be fondly remembered, and dearly missed.

A memorial service for Yolanda will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
