Vernon Alton Scott, age 84, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away in the early hours of July 8, 2022 at his home in Tucson, Arizona. Vernon was born on October 30, 1937 to Mildred Caroline Street and J. Vance Scott.
Vernon graduated from Tucson High School and was a proud member of the Badger Community. He was most proud of being an A-student, playing all sports year-round and President of the Printing Club. While attending high school Vernon also worked many years in the family owned Print Shop then continued his career with the Arizona Daily Star, in the Composing Room from 1966 to 2000.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Street, his father J. Scott, his sisters Sylvia Scott and Marguerite Scott, his brother Vance Scott and daughter Adaline Noriega. He is survived by his loving wife, Millyanna M Scott, his children Danny Scott, Patricia Romero, Diane Bingham, David Scott, Shannon Noriega, Krishna Scott Mattias, Jamie Scott and Ryla Antone, 20 wonderful Grandchildren and several beautiful Great Grandchildren.
Services will begin at San Xavier de Bac Mission Church, 1950 W. San Xavier Rd, Tucson, AZ. 85746 on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
