Sharon Margaret Lane passed away at the age of 77 on March 20, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona. Sharon was born in Los Angeles, California on November 10, 1941 and is survived by her 11 children, 16 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Sharon graduated from Los Angeles’ Dorsey High School in 1959 and completed her formal education at Cypress Community College nearby in Orange County, CA. She enjoyed both meeting and helping people, thus worked in consumer sales and customer service, while remaining in Orange County, CA for most of her life.
Sharon also enjoyed cooking and baking from scratch for her large family; creating a legacy of culinary knowledge and appreciation for food, that she instilled in all her children. As a grandmother, Sharon focused on learning and inculcated a love of reading. She was always available to dive into books with her grandchildren, readily putting her own tasks aside to read with a willing child.
Sharon loved the theater –Broadway musicals, ballet performances, or simply taking her family to the movies – and she loved music. Her love of music led to many nights (and fond memories) of radio music blaring in the living room while she danced with any and all of her children or grandchildren who happened to pass her way. Sharon was happiest at the beach with her family, playing with her grandchildren in the sand.
“We will always carry your memory in our hearts. Because remembering you is easy, we do it every day, but there’s an ache within our hearts that will never go away.”
