Rose Evelyn Kelly passed, 55 years young, on Sunday January 13th 2019 at her care home, Casa Theresita in Tucson AZ. She was born on May 7th 1963 in Tucson AZ to Ana J. Tarazon and Omar M. Bustamante. Rose Kelly worked for Frys Food and Drug for 36 years, where she met the love of her life, David Albert Kelly. They were married on June 9th 1989 and were together until his passing on June 2nd 2002. They had a beautiful son, Antonio David Kelly in 1996.
Rose was a very kind hearted, loving, and giving soul who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and quick wit. Rose’s laughter and happiness was contagious. She never let an opportunity to make a joke pass her by. Through work, Rose met many wonderful friends. She also had long time childhood friends who she enjoyed keeping in touch with. She loved making crafts with friends and spending time together with her family. She loved children and her family.
Rose has three wonderful sisters, Ana Stilb, Diane Estillore, and Yvonne Balderrama. They meant the world to her. The sisters adored getting together. When they did, there was never a shortage of laughter, jokes, stories, and great food. If you were fortunate enough to be present when the sisters were together, chances are you were only able to observe the laughter and witty banter. It was not an easy task getting in a word. Nonetheless, it was expected that you paid attention and followed the multiple simultaneous conversations that were being held. No one ever complained because it was such a joy to see how well they all got along.
Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Albert Kelly and her father, Omar M Bustamante. She is survived by her son Antonio David Kelly, wife Meghan Kelly, Mother Ana Tarazon, husband Juan Gonzalez, Second mother, Marybeth Bustamante, sisters Ana Stilb, husband Tim Stilb, Diane Estillore, husband Mike Estillore, Yvonne Balderrama, husband Tom Balderrama, In laws, Cheryl and Michael Memmer, sister in law, Christine Burdette, brother in laws, Mike Kelly, wife Jonie Kelly, Steven Kelly, wife Catherine Kelly. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial Service will be held at East Lawn Mortuary, 5801 E Grant Rd, Tucson AZ. on Saturday, January 26th at 10am, burial will follow at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
