Beto was born on April 13, 1972, to Jesus Duarte Tapia and Mercedes Mendoza in Nogales, Arizona. After Beto graduated from Lourdes High School, he went off to see the world at the government’s expense. He lived in Anchorage, Alaska for several years before returning home to Nogales and then moving permanently to Tucson where he worked for a few major corporations which included Schwan’s, AOL, Citi and lastly Apple where he was a leader of several teams providing customer support.
Beto had two children daughter Talia Duarte age 30 and Roberto Sebastian Duarte age 6, He is survived by the love of his life Jennifer Luben of ten years and son Annuar 17.
Beto could spin a tale better than anyone, he had an incredible sense of humor, an ability to crack jokes. He was a loving partner, father, brother, and son. He was also extremely loyal and was someone who would do anything for his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan of the LA Dodgers and Kansas City Chiefs. Beto had a zest for life and lived his life to the fullest, his favorite past time was spending time with family and friends and making everyone laugh.
Beto was predeceased by his beloved father Jesus, his grandmother Santos, friends and family members who have passed away. Beto is survived by his mother Mercedes Duarte, Jennifer Luben (partner), daughter Talia (Franc) Smith, son Roberto Sebastian, Annuar, brother/sisters Francisco (Pancho) Lopez, Julio (Maque) Lopez, Mercedes Lopez, Martha (Nubar) Hanessian, Martin (Carmen) Lopez, Norma (Ray) De La Ossa, Maru (Charlie) Serino, Fernando Duarte, Martha Elena Duarte, Carmen Consuelo Duarte y Cruz Duarte, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Church on May 23, 2022, at 10:00 am rosary with Mass following at 10:30 am. Flowers can be sent directly to Sacred Heart Church in Nogales, AZ.
