Robert Thomas Green of Medford Oregon, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2019 at the age of 85½ years in Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his son Michael and his wife Julianne who spent many wonderful years with him in Tucson. He is also survived by his sister Betty Wilson in Temecula, CA and her two daughters Debbie (Art) and Nancy (Gene) from Temecula, CA and Sunnyvale, CA, respectively.
Bob, as he liked to be called, was born in Klamath Falls Oregon in 1934 to Burton and Lillian Green. He served in the US Air Force following graduation from Medford High School and was stationed in South Korea. After his military service, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Oregon College and worked for Farmers Insurance making many friends throughout the Rogue Valley over his nearly 30-year career. After retiring, he moved to Tucson to be closer to Michael and his wife.
Throughout his life, fishing was a particular joy for him and he took every opportunity to fish at Brookings and Gold Beach as well as Howard Prairie and Klamath Lake. He also enjoyed classic cars, San Francisco 49ers & Giants and rooting for the Oregon State University Beavers.
His quick wit, generous spirit, jovial laugh and baby-blue eyes will be deeply missed by all, especially his son and daughter-in-law.
Graveside funeral services will be provided by Conger-Morris on November 22, 2019 at 11:00AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park where both of his parents are interred. https://www.congermorris.com/
