She was born August 3, 1931 near Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Harry Ezra and Beatrice Clark Richardson. The Richardson family moved west to Whidbey Island, WA in 1937.
Regina loved The Lord, Her family, loving In-Laws, Nieces, Nephews, Dear Friends, Relatives and Acquaintances. She was a Shining Beacon to all those that knew her.
Regina started school on Whidbey Island but the family moved to Bremerton where Regina grew up and finished high school in 1949. Regina’s vibrant personality was evident very early and she was popular in school and community social circles.
Regina married Allan Burford after High School in 1949 and their union produced three children, Debra Ann, Rebecca Lee and Gordon Allan. Regina married Charles Stuart in 1962 in Inglewood, CA. She then returned to school in her forties, receiving her Bachelors Degree in the early 1980’s, and began a career in teaching in California.
Regina and Charles retired and moved to Arkansas in 1995, where they lived happily for some 24 years. They moved to Tucson, Arizona in 2019 to be nearer their kids.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Howard Raymond Richardson, her sister Betty Richardson Nopp, and her infant brother, Rocky Richardson. Also preceding Regina in death was her grandson, Jason Kelly, and a nephew, David Nopp. Regina is survived by her spouse, Charles Stuart, three children; Debra Ann Davis; Rebecca Lee (Larry) Thaler; and Gordon Allan (Jackie) Burford. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brianne McCarthy; Kelly (Chris) Veres; Michael Burford; Regina (Spencer Burga) Burford; Ashley (Masa) Wakita; and Lindsey (Joshua) Rahm. Regina is also survived by eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many, many treasured, loving Family members, Friends and Relatives.
A Memorial Service will take place on October 22, 2024 at 3:00PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E Grant Road, Tucson AZ 85712, with a reception to follow immediately after.
