joined her late husband James H. (Bud) Vance on November 12, 2012. She was born July 2, 1927 in Cynthiana, KY. Shortly afterwards her family moved to Middletown, IN. In 1960 they moved with their four children to Tucson, Arizona. Phyllis worked for 30 years as a pediatric nurse for Dr. Ronald Almgren. She was an active member of the Ina Road Church of Christ and former member of the Palo Verde Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Beth) Vance, Vicki Vance, Teddy (Diane) Vance and Michael (Deana) Vance; grandchildren, Corinne Vance, Niki Rowe (Jason), Mica Kinder, Cortney Young (Chris), James Vance (Monica), Stephanie Vance and great-grandchildren, Alexis Kinder, Tucker Kinder, Elizabeth Young, Emily Young and Reese Rowe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Joseph Payne Davis Sr.; sisters, Geneva Hawkins, Martha Anderson, Virginia York, Louise Partlow and brother, Joseph Davis Jr. Surviving brothers are Frank Davis and George Davis live in Anderson, IN. Phyllis had a heart of gold, a quick wit and never knew a stranger. A Visitation will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will also be at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Phyllis will be buried next to her husband at East Lawn Palm Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Desert Southwest Chapter, and Ina Road Church of Christ.
