Maggie Kirk

Magdalene “Maggie” Kirk, 94, passed away February 8, 2023. Maggie was preceded in death by: her husband of 68 years Marvin “Dale” Kirk, sisters Mary Ruth and Esther Naomi, and brother Manuel. Maggie leaves behind her sister Rachel Kaye (Leigh), brother James (Joanne), son Philip Kirk (Patti), daughter Susan Neasham (Richard), grandchildren Dean Neasham (Angie), Chris Kirk (Una), Troy Neasham (Shelley), Cindy Bellavia (Ron), Kevin Kirk (Toni), and 12 great grandchildren.

Maggie was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma, great grandma, and friend. Maggie was born in El Paso, Texas. Maggie’s father was a carpenter and traveling evangelist, Maggie moved several times in her youth before settling for 40 years in Bakersfield, Ca. with her husband Dale.

Dale and Maggie moved to Tucson, Az. to be close to family where she spent the last 12 years. Maggie operated “Maggie’s Bookkeeping Services” from 1980 to 2005. Maggie was a member of the American Business Women’s Association where she gave over 30 years of service. She served as President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Maggie was a faithful lifelong member of the Nazarene church. She and her husband Dale led many Sunday School classes and she served as the church treasurer at Bakersfield First Church of the Nazarene in Bakersfield, Ca. Most recently she was an attending member of Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene in Tucson, AZ. Funeral services will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery on February 18, 2023 at 1:30pm.
