Linda was married to her husband, Sam, for 53 years and had three children: Sam Jr., Heather, and Matthew. She was born to parents who met during World War Two: George Smith, a math teacher originally from Illinois and Stefanie Brauneis, a legal secretary originally from Vienna, Austria. Sam and Linda married in 1968 and through his military career of 20 years, they lived together in California, Texas, Alabama, Germany, Colorado, Kentucky, Alaska, Virginia, and settled in Arizona. Linda devoted her life to caring for her husband, three children, grandchildren Samantha, Christopher, and Elijah, and great grandson Tristan.
Services for Linda on Friday, December 3, 2021 include a visitation at 1PM, a funeral service at 2PM, and a graveside service at 3PM. All services are at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
