Jose J. Mendez

Jose met and married Terri Mendez on August 14th, 1998 and also had a companionship of 40 years.

He was a vibrant prankster, brimming with enthusiasm and vitality. There was never a tedious moment in his presence. Even during serious discussions, he would often pull a silly face while you spoke. His humor consistently brought joy to those around him.

Dining out for steak was one of his favorites, and he always looked forward to his nightly 9 PM treat of brownies paired with milk. Jose had a fondness for his cigarettes and Coca-Cola. He relished attending his grandson's football and soccer matches. His preferred television shows included Judge Judy and Perry Mason. He cherished his Dodge Ram and enjoyed cruising through town.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents Augustine and Belia Mendez.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters Ralph Mendez(Madeline Mendez), Manny Mendez (Yolanda Rodriguez), Augustina Mendez, Belia Mendez, Sally Boido; children Jessica Acosta (Jose Acosta), Jose Mendez Jr. (Amanda Mendez) and Christina Canez (Miguel Santa Cruz); his 14 grandchildren,11 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jose’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who love and cherish him.
