He is survived by his son Jackson, his father Joel Long, his mother Jayme Gonzalez, sisters Elizabeth and Erin. He also leaves behind a large family consisting of grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, brother-in-laws, a nephew and nieces.
Joel was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Twentynine Palms, CA when he passed away. He had completed the Lance Corporal Leadership course. He was a qualified Sharpshooter on the rifle. He was very proud to be a member of the United States Marine Corps.
Joel’s greatest love was his son Jackson. He treasured him more than anything.
Joel loved an adventure but at the same time was a homebody. Some of his favorite hobbies were gaming, fishing, snorkeling and spending time with family and friends. He was outgoing and always willing to help a friend.
Joel was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
