Having returned to playing softball, Jesse often comes up in conversations among ballplayers.  He was well-liked by the ballplayers.

Chango was the reason I stayed in Senior Softball for over 12 years.  Together we managed the Blasters, always emphasizing  inclusivity, enjoyment, and improvement over winning.  Not that we didn't want to win, and we did win a few championships, but it was always special because we did it the right way.  We did improve, and this began to attract better players, but then other teams wooed our best players away because they thought winning championships was what it was all about, not relationships.  So Jesse and I rebuilt the team, still with the same philosophy, and we again had success.  The second time other teams cherry-picked our players we decided enough was enough.  But those years were great. 

Jesse was like a father, uncle and a brother to many people. He was such an easy going and caring man. He made it a point to introduce himself to people and get to know the person he was reaching out to. Many employees from Magma Copper Mining Company new Jesse well. He organized many softball events with them. In doing so he became known to many  families within the mining community. I’m honored to have known him and so are my children. Love you Jesse you will be sorely missed but not forgotten. My sincerest condolences to Jesse’s family. Your loss is immeasurable but know that he is always with you and Our Lord will never abandon you during your moments of despair or sorrow. 🎚

My fondest memory of my brother is when we would climb b hill to shoot his BB gun. No animals, just dead cacti. He taught me how to shoot. Have never had a weapon in my hands since then. He would give me a drink of water and then put a rock in my mouth to keep from getting throaty. Don't really know how scientific it was! I  didn't see him much after he started high school. He was spending a lot of time with his girlfriend, Annette Eggelton and his friends. I will miss you and have many fond memories of you to lift me. The amo, hermano.

During his time in the Navy, we corresponded and I remember when he got out of the Navy, he brought me a portable record player. I will miss you but, I have a lot of wonderful memories of you. Fly with the angels, brother. The amo.

I know he’s in Heaven watching all of us with that infectious smile that he’s always had!! He’s enjoying his time with Nana and his siblings that went before him.

My brother, my savior, my angel in disguise. Jesus needed another Angel & he picked you. I know how much happier & how much healthier you are in heaven, but it doesn't lessen the pain or heal the broken heart I have of losing another sibling. 💔 I love you for being the brother you were to all of us growing up. The smile on your face & how you lit up being around your family. Your unconditional love will never be felt again but you will never be forgotten. I'll always love you for loving me for me. Thank you for being the best brother ever! Anyone would be lucky to have a brother like I had. Will miss you, brother. As  I look for  for the perfect picture of you for this page, I'm suddenly filled with so many good memories of when the pictures were taken, the event that took place, the joy everyone was having around you, the twinkle in your eye, the smiles and laughter the love you gave. But now you're gone. And even though I thought I was mentally prepared, I still can't believe it.  At least the memories that we made and the ones you gave us will last us a lifetime and will be shared with all your grandchildren.  Thanks dad for being the person that you were - loving and caring. You also taught us how to love and care for our own families. What you instilled in me, even the littlest things, I will never forget. I hope and pray that that God's love protects you and keeps you safe. That you're not hurting anymore. That you get the rest that you deserved. That you receive and feel the love we are sending. I ask this in Jesus's name. I love you dad and I will miss you dearly until we are reunited.

My memory of my brother, Jesse, was that he cared for his younger siblings even when he was serving in the Navy.  He was a very compassionate son & brother.  He tried to make sure his siblings had everything they needed!  He bought my high heels for my graduation.  There was a time that He teased me about airplanes bombing us, therefore I wouldn’t fly for a long time.  Whenever the huge planes fly overhead & I was in the surrounding area & alone, I panicked!! All I do is cover my ears the best I can & close my eyes!  Thanks for that bro…..  He was a wonderful brother to his siblings & I’ll never forget that.  Rest In Peace Bro.
