It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James “Papa”, who died peacefully on June 4,2024 at the age of 80. At the Tucson VA Hospital. He was a beloved father, brother, Papa, and friend.
Born in Coffee GA, he was the son of Johnnie and Louise Floyd.
Our Papa had a passion for music, movies and most of all time with family, which he pursued throughout his life. He was known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Herminia, and his parents Johnnie and Louise Floyd and his son Robert Barringer, his sister Joyce Jones, his brothers Glenn and Bobby Floyd and his Grandson Christopher Carmona.
He is survived by his daughters, Misty Zahn, Deanna Nappe, Brenda Hall, Dina Lopez, and son James Floyd and many Grand and Great-Grand children.
A visitation will be Thursday, June 27 beginning at 10:30 AM. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment at 12:00 PM. All services at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
