Began his journey September 5th, 1948 in Miami, Arizona.
He graduated from Tucson HS in 1967. He obtained certificate degrees in automotive technology, tax preparation, and business management.
Dennis served in the United States Army from May 14,1969 through November 21,1970 including 15 months in the Vietnam War.
He met Cathy while working as chef at Rio Rico resort and they were married in 1971. They had their only child, Kimberly, in 1972.
Over his life, Dennis worked at the Duval Mine, started his own tax accounting business, owned a neighborhood bar, and managed a private security firm. He was headstrong with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed watching classic movies starring John Wayne and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
He passed away on January 23, 2017. He is survived by his Daughter and Son-in-Law, Kimberly and Daniel Gerhart.
A graveside service will be held on February 4th at 12:00 pm at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Esperanza En Escalante (Eeeveterans.org) or The American Legion.
