Dawn Rita Morris, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024. She was born August 26th, 1940 in Verdunville, Logan County, WV to Edwin L. Keys and Audrey Ruth Thompson. She married her middle school crush and “love of her life” Bud L. Morris on October 17, 1961. She was a mother to two sons and three biological grandsons, though many thought of her as their mother, grandmother, sister and friend; she, also thought of them, likewise. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a Mary Kay lady for many years and she loved dressing up every single day. She was also a Sunday school teacher for approximately 30 years with an unwavering trust and belief in Jesus Christ as her Savior.
Dawn Rita is survived by her husband, Bud L. Morris, her sons Mark S. Morris (Monica), and Daniel A. Morris (Luly Ortega, fiancé), and 3 biological grandchildren Mark A. Morris, Matthew S. Morris and Michael S. Morris, sister Sharon Powers, and brother David Keys. She is predeceased by her baby sister Frances Mae Keys, sister Sandy Brewer, and brother Edwin L. Keys Jr.
Visitation/Viewing will be held at Bud and Dawn Rita’s house at 4651 W. Snow Leopard Dr., Tucson, AZ 85742 from Saturday Noon – Sunday evening.
Funeral services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church of Tucson at 445 E. Speedway Blvd.,Tucson, AZ 85705.
Gravesite services immediately following at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn, 5401 S. Park Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85706.
