Born August 16, 1947 to Florence and Charles Girdosky in White Plains, NY. Charles Cornelius Girdosky was the youngest of two (Sandy). From White Plains High School (1965) he attended Long Island University Southampton Campus and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Philosophy. From 1970 to 1973 he served in the Air Force as a Psychiatric Clinic Specialist. With former wife Wendy Girdosky, he adopted two children, Tyler and Jenna, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The adventure continued as Charles and his family relocated to Tucson, Arizona in 2001. In 2004, Charles met Jane and he got married to her on June 16, 2008. Charles and Jane moved to Civano where Charles proudly followed two daughters and one son with their careers, marriages, and five grandkids: Kelly, Dan, Troy, Ella, Lisa, Ryan, Mikayla, Jackson, Andrew, Rachel, and Holly. As a computer consultant at IBM, he worked on various computer data programs for law enforcement and government agencies. During his retirement he had a new buddy to play with and take care of, his golden retriever, Teddy. The last year and a half, he bravely battled cancer and dementia yet never gave up on his positive outlook and joy of life. Through the multiple treatments and appointments, his strong wife, Jane helped him immensely through everything and took wonderful care of him; always ensuring he was loved and comfortable. His time was filled with the outpour of love from those who visited him and prayed for him. We miss him dearly and he will remain forever in our hearts. The family is honoring Charles with a small private memorial service.
