Amalia M Tellez

Amalia Tellez was born in Tucson, Arizona on June 5th, 1957, she is the oldest child of Frank and Victoria Matus, whom she is preceded in death by along with her younger brother: Frank S. Matus

She was survived by her husband of 47 years Reyes N. Tellez, her 4 children: Sandra V. Tellez (Emerson), Reyes R. Tellez, Cathy Tellez (Jesus), and Alicia Tellez (Fernando). Her 7 grandchildren: Angelia, Jesus Jr, Elise, Molly, Elijah, Ariel, and baby Diego who is on the way. She also leaves behind 4 younger sisters: Mariana Baxter, Rebecca Matus, Delia Valenzuela, Maria Matus and many nieces and nephews.

Molly was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was caring and always willing to help others. She enjoyed movies, shopping, and dining out. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and doing anything that involved her favorite hobbies. She liked to draw and color, listen to music, dress up for Halloween, decorate for Christmas, and in her younger years was very active in playing softball. As she got older, she was an active member at her community senior center, there she enjoyed playing chair volleyball, participating in events, and making friends.

She will always be remembered as a beautiful, sassy, and caring soul. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

A residential vigil for Molly will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023, starting at 5:30 pm at 5091 W Calle Tetakusim, Tucson, Az 85757. Rosary and prayer at 6:00 pm. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church, 338 W University Blvd, Tucson, Az 85705. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 12:30 pm at Monte Calvario Cemetery, 5149 W Omokol, Tucson, Az 85757.
