Susan Lee Brosche passed away peacefully in hospice on June 18, 2022 with her sister and brother-in-law at her side. Susan was born in New Jersey on January 27, 1952. She spent the summers of her youth at the family cottage in the Adirondack Mountains, where she returned faithfully each summer for the rest of her life. Susan graduated from Georgia State University magna cum laude in 1975. She earned her masters in Decision Sciences from Georgia State in 1977. While in graduate school she published two computer programming for statistics textbooks. Her first job after graduation with Bell South became her lifelong vocation. She worked as a staff analyst until retirement. Susan loved her work and was highly respected in her profession. She greatly enjoyed volunteering with the Telephone Pioneers of America. Susan was a supporter of the Atlanta symphony and also loved the opera. Susan was a philanthropic supporter of many organizations and causes. She was a regular blood donor with the Red Cross. Susan had brilliant skills in crochet and knitting and turned out many masterpieces. Susan loved her pets and the outdoors. She loved long walks and hikes. Most of all, Susan loved her family. She was strongly devoted to her niece and nephew, following and supporting them always in their endeavors. Susan was predeceased by her parents, Hannah (Chastain) and Martin Brosche. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Diane, brother-in-law Jeff Larson, niece Chelsea Thompson and spouse Nick and their sons William and Emmett, nephew Caleb Larson, as well as her many, many loving cousins and steadfast friends. Susan was a kind, smart, funny, loving, gentle and giving person who has truly made her mark in this world.
