Robert Lake Braswell

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jean Patterson Braswell, son Scott Andrew Braswell, father Robert Lake Braswell Sr., mother Eva Delle Braswell, sisters Helen B. King and Lillian Ione Tedder, and infant brother Donald Eugene Braswell; also by Joseph Harrison, cousin who lived with the family until his death in WW II. Bob is survived by nieces Terri Tedder Curtis, Beth Tedder Reisman, and Nephew Robert Allan King, grand nieces, nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. He is also survived by cousins Jimmy Raymond Smith and Beverly Revels Smith, and cousin and honorary brother, Walter Jack Brantley.

Bob graduated from Fort Pierce High School in 1948. He worked at the Fort Pierce News Tribune for a year before entering the University of Florida, earning a degree in accounting and a 2nd Lieutenant’s commission in the Army. He then served in the army in Fort Eustis, VA, Fort Bragg, NC and approximately a year in Pusan, Korea. He then found civilian employment at Federated Mutual Insurance Company, retiring in1991. In 1958, he married the love of his life, Pat (Emma Jean) Patterson, who passed away on Nov. 9, 2015. During his life he was a member of Northeast Baptist Church, serving in many positions, and a member of several industry organizations. Bob is grateful for the many friends and associates who have given so much support to a wonderful life.

Memorial Service to be held at 1pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Northeast Baptist Church, 4046 Chamblee-Tucker Road, Atlanta GA, 30340. Visitation to precede the service from noon to 1pm. Reception to immediately follow the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Bob requests memorial contributions be sent to Northeast Baptist Church.
