Norman Lee Crews of Tucker, GA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 24, 2017. He was born on April 1, 1930 in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of the late Walter and Cora Lee Crews. Norman graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and received an MBA from Pace College, New York City. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked at BellSouth for more than 30 years. Norman was an active member of Briarlake Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling, golf and being with his family.
Norman was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sonja Bowers Crews, daughters Sharon (Kevin) Brangers and Paula (David) White, his grandchildren Alexandria and Benjamin Brangers, Andrew (Julie), Bradley and Philip White, and extended family including sister Janet Crews (Bennett) Armstrong and brother-in-law Allen (Nadine) Bowers.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Briarlake Baptist Church, 3715 LaVista Rd., Decatur, GA 30033. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Briarlake Baptist Church.
