Atlanta, Georgia, and recently of
Apopka, passed away Friday, April 28.
Myra was born in Bennettsville,
South Carolina, to Johnnie and
Louise Driggers. She was a member
of Tucker First United Methodist
Church of Tucker, Georgia.
She loved to cook and was well
known for sour cream pound cake
and her famous homemade ice cream. Myra liked to sew
and crochet, making clothes for her children as they grew up.
She also made afghans, giving them to others. She and her
late husband Grayson restored and refinished old furniture.
She was proud to be a registered nurse, graduating South
Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Columbia.
Myra is survived by daughter Grace Peery and her
husband John of Apopka; daughter Louise McKillop and
her husband Jim of Roswell, Georgia; son Rodney of Irving,
Texas; brother Warren Driggers of Columbia, South Carolina;
sister Sue Booth, Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren Kristin
Peery and Adam Shaw and his wife Angela, all of Apopka;
great-grandchildren Jacob Shaw, Parker Shaw, and Emma
Shaw, all of Apopka.
A funeral service will be held Friday May 12, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of
Floral Hills Funeral Home, The family will receive friends from 10-11 am. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens,
