She was born in Lumberton, NC the daughter of the late H.C. and Cornie Britt.
Mrs. Allen was an accountant for Armstrong Lock and Supply.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott John Allen.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Paul Macheski of Loganville; her granddaughters and spouses, Melissa and Roy Charlton, Melinda and Charles Williams; her great grandchildren, Abbie Cope, Roy Charlton, Kayla Cope, and Ava Charlton; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home with Art Stansberry officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or 1/800/272-3900.
