Charlie began her educational journey in the Seventh-Day Adventist school, through grades K-11 and graduated her senior year at Jones High School in Orlando, Florida. She would continue her education at Rochester School of Business. Years later, she would pursue her dream of being a nurse at Brockport School of Nursing in Rochester, New York where she proudly graduated in 1974 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
Charlie spent her earlier years working at Doctor Phillips Hospital as a salad girl. It was here she would catch the eye of her husband, William Byron Cartwright, who was working at the hospital as a switchboard operator (PBX). They would later marry on December 2nd, 1962 and have their children, Regina, Maureen, and William Jr, and Debbie Eaton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Charlie was blessed for many years and touched the hearts of many with her beautiful smile. She left a legacy of kindness, consideration, and gentleness.
The lord called Charlie to come home on July 28th, 2021 and will be missed and loved by family and friends.
