Charles Sidney Thomason

Charles Sidney Thomason was born on Feb. 2, 1932 in Newnan, GA. He passed away on April 27 2019. He married the love of his life Helen Wansley Thomason on April 5, 1959, they have just celebrated 60 years of marriage. He served in The United States Air Force for 20 years as a cook, something that he is very proud of. After retiring from the military he worked for 24 years as a mail courier for DeKalb County School System. He was a loving husband and father. Sid as he was known to most loved to cook and he also loved to work in the yard with his flowers. He loved his family, his church, his country,his friends, the Atlanta Braves and The Georgia Bulldogs. he is survived by his wife Helen Thomason, his children Susan Thomason Check and her husband Duane Check and Phillip Thomason and his wife Pam along with his step Grandson Austin Einsmann and his wife Makayla. A service will be held at Lawrenceville Road United Methodist on May 1 at 1:00 in Tucker GA.
