Doris M. "Beryl" D'Allen, 93 of Decatur, Georgia, Jersey UK and Ewell England, UK passed away on March 9, 2013. The funeral service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home Wednesday March 13,2013 at 3:00 pm in the Floral Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral at Floral Hills Memory Gardens Beryl was born in Ewell, England on May 2, 1919. Beryl was married to Howard Fredrick D'Allen. Beryl started her life in Ewell, England and was born into the family of a famous inventor, her father A. E. Creese. Creese is the automotive and aviation inventor who designed and built the fist mono wing airplane to fly in 1909 at the Blackpool Air show. As a teen Beryl loved horses and was a regular, often riding and showing Arabian Horses at the equestrian center at Epsom Downs Racecourse with her sister, actress Rene Ray, Countess of Midleton. As a young woman Beryl also had the opportunity to join her sister in many appearances in the theater and several British films under the stage name Beryl Briton. World War II started and Beryl volunteered as a stand in nurse with the Army Nurse Corps... treating the wounded in the ambulance and on the battlefields. Beryl met her husband, Howard, in Epsom England during WWII and they were married for 34 years. Beryl is survived by her daughters Carole and Susan Dallen and Deirdre Dallen Johnson, her sons Christopher D'Allen and Nicholas D'Allen, daughter in law Vicki D'Allen, son in law Duane Johnson, grandsons Lance Brough, and Noah Johnson, Granddaughters Carly Creese, Natalie Sterret, Linda D'Allen, Rose August and Christina Loechel. Beryl is preceded in death by her father A. E. Creese, mother Emily Creese Bates, husband Howard F. D'Allen Renee Ray the countess of Midelton and son Anthony F.
