She was born on December 19, 1958 to Jack and Ruth (Patterson) Schlosser in Cheboygan.
Beth married John (Fritz) Marsh, Jr. in 1978 and they spent the next 27 years together while raising two daughters. To her, family was everything. The occupation of being a warm, caring mother was her chosen career while ensuring a hot meal was on the table every night and spending quality time with her family during long car rides. As her daughters became adults, Beth became more of a friend to them and a devoted grandmother to their children. She will be forever remembered by her daughters for being a great person and a wonderful mother who lived a good life.
As a friend and neighbor, Beth was an unforgettably lovable and sassy woman with the gift of gab and an infectious sense of humor. While she did work as a receptionist for the Child Guidance Center and Cherry Bend Veterinarian Clinic for a time, Beth embraced a litany of life’s simple treasures to include her dogs, gardening, reading, Bob Seger, sweets, watching birds in her yard and collecting various knick-knacks and candles.
During her life, Beth mourned the loss of her parents as well as, sister, Jackie Schlosser and nephew, Derek Schlosser.
She will be fondly remembered by daughters, Jennifer Marsh (Justin Roush), Nicole (Harold) Wazny; grandchildren, Dillon Liggett, Lily, Trenton, Parker and Ellie Wazny; companion, Jeff Liggett, Sr. as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Those that knew Beth are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 5th beginning at 1:00 pm at the home of her daughter, Nicole Wazny in Kingsley.
Contributions in Beth’s honor may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and to Osteoarthritis Foundation International.
Arrangements are entrusted to Covell Funeral Home, Traverse City.
