James David Jenkins, Age 58 of Gardnerville, Nevada, passed away on May 1, 2022. Born on June 5, 1963 in Lubbock County, Texas and raised in Ohio, Jim spent the majority of his life living in California, notably Chatsworth and Redondo Beach.
As an Aerospace Systems Engineer at Boeing, Jim was passionate about his career; a passion which extended into his personal life as a collector of memorabilia from satellite launches and stunning photography taken from his very own collection of telescopes. Jim was an adventurer and enjoyed driving around in his Jeep Wrangler, taking his Harley out for a ride, and had even fulfilled his dream of swimming in the waters of the northernmost part of the United States. He was a handyman who would often spend hours in his garage. He loved a trip to the museum or a night in solving brain teaser puzzles. His favorite team was the Chicago Cubs.
Jim was predeceased by his father John and survived by his two sons Jake and Casey, his mother and Stepfather Linda and Ron Washing and his brother Tom.
