Tesfa Bedeho Bemnet

March 6, 1930 – December 3, 2022

He passed peacefully with family by his side, after a short illness on December 3, 2022 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by Amleset his wife of 58 years, his children Senayit, Amanuel, Deborah and his grandchild Alex. He is also survived by his siblings, Abeba, Hagos, Gebreaba and Tsegazeab.

Bemnet is pre-deceased by his parents Tesfaegzi Bedeho and Kudusan Kelb, his siblings, Dawit, Amleset, Lemlem Abraham, Fikadu, Kilaworkei, Legese, Tsegeweine, Araya and Letezghi.

Bemnet will be remembered as a loving father who was devoted to family and friends, and loved every moment he spent with them. He will be remembered for his commitment to his church, country and community. He lived a joyful and fulfilling life dedicated to truth, hard work and the imparting of wisdom to the young and old.

The family would like to express deep thanks to the staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care.

Church service will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 274 Concord Ave, Toronto ON M6H 2P5 at 11:00AM.
