Susan is survived and deeply missed by Richard her loving husband for almost 47 years. She is also survived by her brother Richard, sister-in-law Jacqueline (Vic) and brother-in-law Stephen (Soheir). Susan was predeceased by her father Arthur (2014) and her mother Doreen (2020).
Susan met Richard whilst both were working in London. After Susan decided to pursue her career by returning to Canada, Richard followed her a year later. Thus, Tristan and Isolde became und - höchste Lust! Since 2017 Susan endured with fortitude the challenges of Parkinson’s. However, Susan continued her attendance at theatre, opera, classical music, and ballet performances not only in Toronto but around the world.
This was enabled by Susan’s chariot in Maple Leafs / Blue Jays blue, the colour of which she chose to support her teams when attending games. Although Susan attended both Blue Jays World series wins, she will be missing when the Maple Leafs again lift the Stanley Cup. Prior to Parkinson’s, Susan enjoyed playing golf at Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto.
Susan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980 and practiced her chosen profession until retirement in 2016.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday 7 January, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, North York.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Parkinson Canada or Parkinson’s UK.
